I’m loving this whole series! This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but it’s so fun to see characters from previous books so I would recommend reading them all! I loved the main characters and how they interacted with each other。 I especially enjoyed getting to know William Cobbett and finding out why he is so grumpy。 The plot was fun and held my interest。 It was well written and kept me up reading- I can’t wait for more from this author!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book is so good! From running from her brother to falling for a stubborn gentleman, Georgie Holbrooke is a delightful heroine。 She is spunky and confident, despite the perilous circumstances she finds herself in。 And dear William matches her stubbornness to perfection。 The banter between the two and the growing friendship and love makes the story all the better。 I love Laura’s ability to spin a story that is both entertaining and full of romance。 I laughed and cried while reading this book。 This book is so good! I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't my favorite in the series。 It was well written。CleanLanguage: NoneSex/innuendo: Sweet kisses。 No sex, but mild discussions about rape/men taking advantage of women。Violence/gore: Mild fight scenes and some deaths。 One man beats a woman by hitting her a couple of times。 A few peril/danger scenes。Dark/Creepy: None, but some realities of that time period are discussed。 Really sad, but mild in description。Spoilers:I enjoyed this book。 I enjoy seeing past characters I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't my favorite in the series。 It was well written。CleanLanguage: NoneSex/innuendo: Sweet kisses。 No sex, but mild discussions about rape/men taking advantage of women。Violence/gore: Mild fight scenes and some deaths。 One man beats a woman by hitting her a couple of times。 A few peril/danger scenes。Dark/Creepy: None, but some realities of that time period are discussed。 Really sad, but mild in description。Spoilers:I enjoyed this book。 I enjoy seeing past characters return, especially Hawthorne。 He is my favorite。 I enjoyed the Gretna Green twist at the end。 That section of the story was my favorite! Sometimes the realities of the time period were a little heavy in the story, but it was still a good plot。 I also think the cover design is cute :) 。。。more

William broke my heart。 I hated so bad the things he had gone through, and wanted him to find hope and happiness。 Georgie was the perfect heroine for him。 I loved the care she had for those less fortunate, and how she made friends with Dinah and her sister from the first book in this series! It's been so fun to see how each story in this series builds on the other and I eagerly await the next installment! With the help of some friends, she finds a job at an orphanage。 William Cobbett, the Earl of Grenton is looking for a lady to run his late mother’s orphanage。 A lady is finally found, and when he meets her he soon discovers she is not like other ladies。 She is beautiful, obstinate and outspoken。 This is quite the fateful meeting as Georgie might just be the one to rescue him from his despair, and he may be the one to rescue Georgie from her peril。 I enjoyed reading this book as the story unfolded!🤍Georgie Holbrooke is a girl after my own heart as she loves getting lost in a good book。 She also has a heart of gold! She is so patient, kind, and wise, with a stubborn streak。 William was such a good cinnamon roll hero。 I absolutely loved watching him unravel layer by layer revealing his sweet center。🤍I enjoyed revisiting characters from previous books。 I love this group of friends and I’m enjoying each of their stories。 I especially love Dinah, Evie and Hawthorne。🤍This book had a bit of enemies to lovers, workplace romance, hidden identity, one bed, fake relationship, grump and sunshine。🤍There is so much character growth in this story for William! I love a good story where both characters become better because of each other。🤍This series is a unique set of regency stories as there is a lot of suspense and adventure in each book。 Spies, pistols, mystery, a villain and always a daring rescue。As in any story, the love story is my favorite part and Georgie and William are adorable! I loved watching them fall in love and find their happily ever after in each other! This is book 3 in the Gentleman of London series。✨Releases August 2nd。 Thank you to the author for an arc copy。 All opinions are my own。Content: loss of family members, briefly mentions a mistress, violence, physical abuse, death。 。。。more

This book definitely kept you wanting to read “just one more chapter”! There is a lot of fun back and forth between William and Georgie。 Their arguments are so great lol。 And I loved the continuous banter。 Even if some of their conversations end with Georgie being “fired” from her position again and again 😂。 I really enjoyed Georgie’s character。 Her personality was incredibly endearing。 William was a bit harder to like at first but he absolutely grows on you。 And when he’s at his happiest he is a changed man! The servants that are loyal to Georgie and travel with her are so great (most of them)! I love the cook and butler especially。 The girls at the orphanage were super as well。 And even the cranky housekeeper grows on you。 I wish we had more info on how things turned out for them in the end。 But I shall give them their own happy endings in my head 😃。 I enjoyed Evie and all of William’s friends。 They are incredibly helpful in this story! The coach scene towards the end was one of my favorites。 Call in the reinforcements! Overall this was a good story that kept your attention! I received an advanced copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

This fast-paced story had a lot of action in it! This is such a fun series。 I love all the friends that play into the books。 This is William's story。 He is quite grumpy and doesn't know how to change。 Enter Georgie, who is feisty, brave and out spoken。 They both are in desperate need of the other but neither one really wants to acknowledge that fact。 This book has daring deeds, intrigue, romance and so much more。 I would highly recommend。 This is such a fun series。 I love all the friends that play into the books。 This is William's story。 He is quite grumpy and doesn't know how to change。 Enter Georgie, who is feisty, brave and out spoken。 They both are in desperate need of the other but neither one really wants to acknowledge that fact。 This book has daring deeds, intrigue, romance and so much more。 I would highly recommend。 。。。more

This is a great series!William and Georgie’s story is unique - love is found is an unlikely situation。 I appreciate how Georgie’s plight wasn’t simply to escape an unwanted marriage; it went deeper than that。 I loved seeing William’s heart soften throughout the story, even as Georgie’s outspokenness stayed strong。 The supporting characters have me itching to find out what their stories will be, but I’ll need to wait for books 4 and 5 ;)

Another great addition to the Gentlemen of London series。 William and Georgie were so much fun to get to know。 They both had suffered great loss。 They both needed each other, they just didn’t know it。 The banter between them was charming。 The storyline held my interest throughout and I didn’t want to put it down。 Just the right amount of mystery, intrigue and sweet romance。 Looking forward to more in this series。

I really enjoyed William and Georgie's story。 I liked how Laura Beers interweaves the story with mystery and really captivates you with her fun characters。 Although William and Georgie may not have truly resonated with me, I still liked seeing them come together。 I did enjoy the strength of the female characters, though sometimes I really didn't care for Georgie's defiance。 But I also didn't like William's dominance either at times。 Both evened out enough though for me to still like them and mak I really enjoyed William and Georgie's story。 I liked how Laura Beers interweaves the story with mystery and really captivates you with her fun characters。 Although William and Georgie may not have truly resonated with me, I still liked seeing them come together。 I did enjoy the strength of the female characters, though sometimes I really didn't care for Georgie's defiance。 But I also didn't like William's dominance either at times。 Both evened out enough though for me to still like them and make it believable when they come together in the end。 I do have to say I absolutely adore Lords Hawthorne, Haddington, and even Hugh。 Those three really captured my heart and I can't wait to read more about this whole crew in the next book。 Miss Ashmoore has been an absolute delight and she truly will be a fun character to hopefully see again。Side note: There is abuse that takes place in the story, though not graphic I would mention it for trigger warnings。 The slow growing romance is sweet and I would definitely describe this plot as a Grumpy won over by Miss Sunshine。Overall, great addition to a delightful series!
